Surrounded by iconic breaks, Kuta offers waves suitable for all skill levels, from mellow beach breaks for beginners to challenging reef breaks for seasoned surfers.

Beyond the surf, Kuta Lombok is vibrant. The town is home to a thriving café and food scene, with an eclectic mix of traditional Sasak warungs serving local dishes and modern eateries offering smoothie bowls, fresh seafood, and international cuisine. The surrounding landscape is equally captivating, with lush green hills, pristine white sand beaches, clear blue water and breathtaking views.

Immerse yourself in the rich Sasak culture through traditional markets, weaving villages, and local ceremonies. When it’s time to unwind, Kuta’s serene environment, yoga and pilates classes, and wellness options perfectly balance an active day. THE WAVES

Lombok has been carefully chosen for its diverse range of surf breaks. It’s the perfect playground for intermediate surfers looking to refine their skills and perhaps catch the wave of their lives.

Unlike many other areas in Indonesia, Lombok is less crowded, with its variety of breaks naturally spreading out surfers. This creates an ideal environment for progression and enjoying less crowded waves.

Each day, local guides will take us to the best spots suited to the day’s conditions. Whether it’s a secret wave or a renowned break, you’ll be in the right place at the right time.

GETTING THERE

Getting to Lombok is straightforward and part of the adventure! The island is well-connected to major cities in Indonesia and beyond, making it easy to reach for travellers.

  • The most convenient way to get to Lombok is by flying into Lombok International Airport (LOP). There are direct flights from Jakarta, Bali (Denpasar), and other Indonesian cities, as well as international flights from select destinations like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. From the airport, it's about a 1.5-hour drive to the main surf spots around Kuta, Lombok.

  • Fast Boat: Several fast boat services connect Bali (Padang Bai or Serangan) to Lombok. The journey takes around 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the departure point and sea conditions.

  • Once you arrive, we’ll ensure you’re guided to your destination. Taxis, private transfers, or scooter rentals are readily available at the airport or harbor. For our surf coaching trip, we recommend private transfers for convenience and safety, especially if you’re traveling with your surf gear.

Travel Tips

  • Book in Advance: Flights and boats can fill up quickly, especially during peak surf seasons, so it’s a good idea to secure your tickets early.

  • Pack Light: While traveling to Lombok is simple, moving around the island is easier with minimal luggage.

  • Stay Flexible: Weather and sea conditions can occasionally affect fast boat schedules, so allow for some flexibility in your itinerary.

Once you arrive, the island’s beauty and incredible surf breaks will make the journey well worth it! If you have questions about travel logistics or need help planning your route, we’re here to assist.
