We deliver quality surf instruction to individuals and small groups.

We find the best conditions between Peregian and Sunshine to deliver our highly qualified coaching.

Our philosophy is quality over quantity. We want you to have the time with our coaches that you deserve. Because of this we keep our classes to a maximum size of 5-1 student coach ratio. Ensuring that you get “stoked” like a true surfer.

How we got started

Brad started his coaching career as a School Teacher in the early 80s. His passion for surfing and the combination of his interest in coaching led him to become a leader in the area of surf coaching.

Jeff moved from the USA Mid Atlantic Coast in the late 90s after running a successful surf retail & board rental business. He arrived on the Sunshine Coast and met Brad who employed him as a coach in the Coolum High Surf Excellence Program.

They soon realised they had a shared vision to give surfers the opportunity to reach their full surfing potential.

Together in 2008 they started Sunshine Coast Elite Surf Coaching and the rest is history.

Initially we offered our services to Boardriding Clubs on the Sunshine Coast.
We worked with their members to analyse weakness in their technique and correct the biomechanical movement.
Our services extended to offering team training with an emphasis on competition strategy and wave usage.
We began to offer our services to school groups and individuals. Some of our clients went on to win State, National and even world Titles.
Our work with video allowed us the ability to offer feedback on technique and immediate correction and remediation.
Many of our present and past clients have made their way onto the World Surf League and compete on the World Qualifying series and even the World Competitive Tour.

A new leaf

We now offer training from the next generation of coaches. Many who are still competing at the World Surf League.

Our coaches have trained as competitive surfers through our training program. But it's now time for the students to become the teachers. We're excited about new blood offering a progressive spin to our core philosophies.
